The 2012 season of the Indy GAA club league has drawn to a close with Goose the Market the victors. For the first time since 2008, Goose hoists the Quigley cup after a spectacular demonstration of play. That's not to say it was an easy victory for the Blue Crew. They had to earn it by defeating another league juggernaught, The Good Earth, who were hungry for a cup win after a heart-breaking loss in last year's finals.
The championship match was one of the closest on record, with the point differential rarely fluctuating higher than a one possession game, but in the end Goose outlasted the Grocers with the offensive help of their co-captains Ciaran Connery and Jeremy Fagan.
The club officials would like to congratulate both teams on a job well done. The match was a pleasure to watch and serves as yet another reminder of the growth, development, and maturity of the Indianapolis GAA.
