A more thrilling build-up to Indy's post-season, there has never been!  In the two-year history of this club running a playoff finale to the hurling season, only this year did the regular season finish with a three-way tie for the top record!  That's only 50% of the time!

To deal with this unprecedented parity, the league officials had to dust off the league rule book, and invoke higher math.  Or at least medium-high math.

In situations where the records are the same, the rankings are determined next by the total scoring differentials of the teams.  Should that fail to determine a winner, the next course of action would be to rank by highest total score for the season, followed by the lowest score by opponents.  Eventually a coin-toss is involved.  (There is such a thing as too much parity.)

So what we have here is a league where the top team, Pogue's, outscored their opponents by a greater margin than did Goose and Claddagh.  But it was close!  Here is the breakdown for all seven teams:

In summary, only a few points over the season separate the top three teams.  And remember Flynn's success at the end of last summer - miracle runs can happen.  This Quigley Cup is truly any team's to win.
