Youth Hurling Week 2 Match News
If you missed the youth hurling club’s second week of games last Sunday you missed out on seeing two spectacular efforts by all the players and showing  a visible improvement over the previous week.

U10

In the U10 co-ed hurling match, players from both Corcaigh and Port Láirge showed surprising control, proper spacing, steady feet, great passes, and deliberate scoring.   During the second quarter there was quite a rally between the two camps that was certainly a sight to see.  Well done by all the small children!

Port Láirge 5 / Corcaigh 3

U16

The U16 co-ed match was much different in that the Rebels were able nearly shut out the Deise from the scoring at all.  We used random stick toss to divide the teams and rosters may change from week to week.  However, make no mistake; players from Corcaigh and Port Láirge both played with their hearts and their heads regardless of the score.

It was truly a glorious game to see and we look forward to the next match-up!

Corcaigh 7-3  / Port Láirge 1-0

This Sunday, 13-May-2012, no youth games are scheduled in honor of our wonderful mothers!  Happy Mother’s Day!

Stop by and watch the third round of our spring season on 20-May-2012 at 10am at Eugene Burns Park.
