29-April-2012U10 Division
On Sunday, April 29th, the youth hurling club kicked off the season with two fantastic games at Eugene Burns Park.
The U10 co-ed hurling division pitted Corcaigh (in red) against Port Láirge (in blue) in a tough match up. The scoring was back and forth for much of the game but in the end the Deise pulled through with a final point in a decisive victory over the Rebels.
Port Láirge 6 / Corcaigh 5
U16 Division
In the second game of the day for the yoots, the U16 co-ed hurling division saw Cork and Waterford in one of the best defensive games in recent memory.
Keepers on both ends literally shut out each other from scoring any goals so players in the field were left to make their best efforts at collecting points throughout the game.
The final score was Corcaigh 0-2 and Port Láirge 0-1
Much fun was shared by all in both games including the rejoicing parents who cheered their young ones on.
