The Claddagh Irish Pub bid farewell to one of its own on Sunday, June 12, as Josh Crabtree capped off his Indy Hurling career in grand style with a victory over Renner’s Body Works. But with a myriad of injuries, vacations and honeymoons, the Claddashians needed help from a gaggle of Goose the Market subs and the infamous Mike Jooooooones to come away with a 10-11, 3-4 win. The wily seven-week veteran Crabtree saved his best for last, finishing off his illustrious Indy career with a masterful defensive effort and his first two-score game. Not only did Crabtree notch his fourth goal of the season, but he also drove home a point on his first-ever attempt at a free. Crabtree will be greatly missed as he packs up his hurley and heads to Hotlanta. You can almost see waves of deep sympathy flowing through the rest of the league for the extreme hardship of Claddagh’s loss. Cards, flowers and gifts are being accepted. |
