Claddagh started the year off firing on all cylinders with a 44-5 victory against those fiesty bar patrons from Sugar Bob Boulevard.  Duncan "Pretty Boy" McCabe led all scorers with 3 goals and 5 points. Jeff "Election Year" Bennett and Jody "Soon-to-be Mr. Orla Hart" Peacock put up some mighty fine numbers as well.  Newcomer Nick Morgan had a spectacular run followed by a titillating goal to put the final nail in Connor's allegorical coffin. 

The suffocating defense was lead by Ian "Drago" Kaminsky and Jeremy "Who Farted?" Pugh, both readily and formidably stepping up to the challange of defending Connor's premier offensive talent.  The resounding low point for the league's reigning champs was when their schizophrenic goalkeeper went streaking midway through the second half for apparent shits n' giggles.  Bravo to Claddagh for allowing such a troubled and clearly demented soul, act like he is on the team.

Connor's, on the back end of a doubleheader and missing a Shoe, were valiantly led by Eoghan Reade, the Brothers Thor, and Nora the Scorer (Oh I get it, like Dora the Explorer) all the way to the final whistle but to no avail.  The honorable Tommy Dale presided over the match and delivered the finest piece of officiating ever to take place in the 11 O'Clock time slot before the month of May.  Cheers to what looks to be the finest season yet for the Indy GAA.  And remember, it is not how you start but how you finish.  That is what she said!!
