2019 Week 1 Playoff Results

Week 1 of the hurling playoffs was a scorcher 🔥. So much so that the call was made to play quarters instead of halves. With that said the club still enjoyed a great display of quarterfinal matches and set the stage for an exciting set of finals next weekend.

Indianapolis Gaelic Games Invitational – June 15, 2019

2019 Indy Invitational

This Saturday beginning at 9am Ireland’s sports of Hurling, Gaelic Football, Camogie will take center stage right here in Indianapolis – intense action featuring clubs from all over the country. 

Bier Brewery will be on hand, along with a food truck, FREE admission, Irish accents — everything you may want.

Downtown Georgia Street After-Party

We’ve secured part downtown’s Georgia Street (next to Kilroy’s) for people to hangout that is also near the hotels. The experience will include local Bier beer, Kilroy’s taking food & drink orders, music, screens set-up for viewing matches, trophy presentations, and loud embellished conversations about the day’s events. All ages welcome. Gates open from 5pm-10pm.

Indy GAA Youth Summer Camp – June 12-14, 2019

We are proud to announce that the Indy GAA will be conducting a three day youth summer camp with 10-time national championship winning coach Eamonn Ryan!

The summer camp will be held June 12-14, 2019, from 9:30am-12:30pm each day at the Zionsville Soccer Facility.

Children ages 7-15 of all skill levels are welcome are welcome to attend. Cost is just $20 a day or $50 for all three.

Camp includes an introduction to both games supervised drills, and plenty of scrimmage time — so beginners and season-players will find this camp worthwhile.

Snacks and equipment are provided, though please bring water, cleats, and sunscreen.

Determined to avoid cancelling two of the first three weeks of the 2019 season the club was able to squeak in this week’s matches amid the miserable rainy, cold weather.

We’ll be off the next two weeks for Easter and the St. Louis tournament, with matches resuming May 2nd.

After a false start due to poor weather in Week 1, Week 2 went off without a hitch! The morning started off a little misty but the weather gradually decided to cooperate.

Thank you for everyone who came out today — the level of play was admittedly a bit “rusty”, but overall the matches were all a joy to watch.
