For those of who may be unfamiliar, Premier Nights are a chance for our members to play a match under the lights on a (nearly) properly sized pitch. We encourage all members along with their friends and family to come out and enjoy a night of good games and good fun.
We hope to hold three matches for the evening, one hurling, one Camogie, and one Gaelic football, but that all depends on your availability and willingness to play. So if you’d like to participate in any of these matches, please fill out this form so we can put together the most competitive teams possible.
Beers from our sponsors will also be available for purchase, so don’t forget your wallet!

The second week of pub league is now in the books, so let’s take a moment to review a few quick highlights and look forward to this weekend.
Connor’s Pub redeemed themselves this week after a surprising Week 1 loss to Centerpoint, by squeaking out a 2 point win against Hope Plumbing.
Guinness narrowly defeated Centerpoint this week, holding on to their dreams of an undefeated season.
Meanwhile Hope Plumbing, Daredevil Brewing, and Dugan & Voland are still on the hunt for their first win, but it’s still early in the season, and as we know anything can happen in the coming weeks.
Commissioner Cabeen has posted the Week 3 Pick ‘Em form, so be sure to get your picks in before the matches this Sunday.
The weather held out this past Sunday and allowed us to hold a full week’s worth of matches! After over 15 months away from the pitch teams took the field to knock off more than just a little bit of rust and ultimately put on a delightful show of sport and skills.
The league officials are working to get match stats and outcomes entered soon, and when they are posted you’ll be able to see them in the table below, or by visiting our pub league page.
Commissioner Cabeen has posted the Week 2 Pick ‘Em form, so be sure to get your picks in before the matches this weekend.
Brian Mathes will be holding an online Heartland GAA referee training course Wednesday evening at 8:30pm. Everyone is welcome to attend, and you can join with the link on our calendar event page.
The club’s July board meeting will also be held this Wednesday at 7:30pm. We will try to keep the meeting as short as possible in case there are any members who would like to participate in this meeting as well as the ref training. Meeting details can be found here.
Pub league starts this weekend and we couldn’t be more excited! These games have been a long time coming and I know that it’ll be great to see everyone out on the pitch again. With that being said, I wanted to take a moment to share a few bits of info with everyone.
Our league commissioner, Tim Cabeen, is once again holding a League Pick ‘Em. Those who are interested in participating can submit their Week 1 picks here. If you have any questions you can get ahold of Tim here.
I also wanted to take a moment and acknowledge all of the hard work and planning that has gone into making the season possible, particularly Tristan and the “Hardy Bucks” (my favorite band in college) who braved some adverse weather conditions this week to get the fields lined for this weekend.
We were informed this morning by our friends the Indy Giants that our Aussie rules football friendly scheduled for this Saturday will need to be postponed until further notice. We’ll be sure to share more details on the re-match as they come together.
We are hoping that the weather holds out on us, but if something changes be sure to keep an eye on Slack for the latest. If you need access to our Slack community please email me.
Without further ado below you’ll find the Week 1 matchups. You can also view lots of useful info on each matchup page, including fields, referees, and officiating crews.
As we continue to ramp up activities for the year I wanted to take a quick second to put together a list of events and happenings that everyone should be aware of.
In addition to everything below we hope to see you at practice this Tuesday… if the weather cooperates 🌧

As we keep barreling every-so-closer to the start of pub league, we wanted to provide an opportunity for folks to knock the rust off on the pitch. So starting this Sunday we will begin holding a stick toss at 11am for hurling and camogie, whatever the equivalent type of toss (boot? ball?) is for Gaelic football at 12pm.
Everyone is welcome to join us whether you’re brand new or a returning player, just bring a decent set of boots and a hurley/helmet/mouthguard if you have one. We do have some spare equipment and will attempt to accommodate those who may need it, but
We hope to see you out this weekend at Eugene Burns Fields, and if you have any questions please reach out to our Coaching Chair, Andretta Erickson.
Also, if you’ve not yet registered for pub league, hop to it! Details can be found on our registration page.
Now that we have over a month’s worth of practices under our belts we figured it was a good time start talking about Pub League!
While some of the finer details are still in flux we do have enough information to open up registration for the season. If some of you are thinking to yourself “wait, I already did that” you’re right, but let me quickly explain why we’re asking you to do this again.
Early on in the year we created a simple registration form on our website to try and gauge interest in playing this year, and while we did keep that open through USGAA registration, it became apparent that it wasn’t really the best way to get our ducks in a row… that and only a little over of half of y’all actually completed it 😆. The good news is if you’ve already done it, or done it in years past, the form should be pre-populated with your information, just double check it to see if it’s all up to date.
In addition we also need to collect league dues for the year, and the registration process is the best way to do that, so without further ado, here’s what you need to know this year:
We also know that this past year has been very difficult for folks, so we wanted to come up with a way to help out those of us who’ve been hit the hardest. With that in mind we offering a no-questions-asked 30% discount for any member who may have experienced hardships due to the pandemic, just use the coupon code COVID19 when completing your registration.
